The Brief: Crete a custom 3D scanning software concept for Red Wing Shoes, a US-based multi-chain footwear brand

The Solution: While developing the original concept for the Albert software, I was tasked with creating a custom experience for Red Wing Shoes that will be unique to their brand. Red Wing Shoes are manufactured in Red Wing City, a picturesque, historical city by the Mississippi river in Minnesota. Being that the Red Wing Shoes brand is all about American heritage and craftsmanship, I felt that it would benefit from a more wholesome experience, so I based the city environment on the actual Red Wing city by literally recreating the landscape and landmark spots in 3D, with the kind help of Google Earth. The city is famous for its large eagle population, which led me to show the cityscape from the point of view of a flying eagle. Similarly to the original Albert concept, the user of this software will be able to enjoy full control of the experience, by navigating from one landmark to another with a touch of the screen. Each landmark will hold a part of the scanning process. The trailer-type movie in the link was created for a presentation done for Red Wing Shoes.
