Iconic Couture Fashion Label >
I created and launched Iconic Couture in New York City in 2004. What started as one hit t-shirt - namely, the Michael Jackson t-shirt - soon became a successful line of premium t-shirts, with high demand in the USA, Japan, Middle East, Europe and UK markets. It started as a small collection of 15 designs, all based on the same idea: cultural icons ‘painted’ onto t-shirts, using luxurious Czech rhinestones. The result earned the admiration of many fans, including fashion stylists, fashion critiques and international celebrities. The sales from the first trade show, Coterie in New York, 2004, were in the upwards of us$300k!
The first stores to follow the trend were the highly fashionable Kitson and Fred Segal in LA. Soon to follow were premium stores in the Japanese market, such as Isetan, Barney’s, Beams, Daimaru, Sadistic Action and more. From Harrods in the UK to Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong, Tsum in Russia, Saks Fifth Avenue in Saudi Arabia, Entrada in Baharain,
Villa Moda in UAE and Jades in Berlin, Iconic Couture had become a global trend.
Iconic Couture was sold o a Hong Kong textile giant in 2008.
